Meet Georgee
Hi, I’m Georgee.
A few years ago, life dealt me some back-to-back losses that rocked me at my core. And I let them knock me down. I played victim so hard I stopped recognizing myself. I was no longer living with intention — I was just drifting, doing what I thought I should do instead of what I knew was right for me. I started listening to too many other people and stopped listening to myself.
Then I had a moment where I confronted myself honestly: who are you and what are you doing?
That question woke me up. And the answer, as it always has been for me, came from the same place — outside.
Nature and time in the forest or the mountains is where I go to find clarity. It’s the thing that keeps me grounded and connected to myself. It’s where I find the answers when I’m searching. Time alone outside is better than any self-help guru or bestselling book. I know myself better than anyone. And when I find it hard to hear my own voice, I find it again outdoors. Outside is where I go to work through stuff. It’s where I go to get new ideas. It’s where I go to remember who I am.
I have always wanted to build something around nature and the outdoors. I just never saw a clear path — a way I could actually support myself doing it. So I kept building other things. Coaching businesses, communities, consulting work. Good things, meaningful things. But not the thing.
She Can Explore is my “you know what, let’s see what happens.” I may crash and burn or it could be the best thing I’ve ever done. But if I don’t try, I’ll regret it.
In 2013, I was sitting in a tiny plane flying toward the Himalayas for a trek to Everest Base Camp. It took years of “wondering if I could” before I finally said yes. I didn’t go because I was brave — I went because I was tired of waiting.
On that trail, the mountain didn’t care about my age or my doubts. And somewhere in the quiet, I found a version of myself I thought I’d lost.
I want that for you.
Not necessarily Everest. Maybe it’s a walking holiday in Norway. Maybe it’s a solo trip to a country you’ve always been curious about. Maybe it’s just getting out the door for a daily walk and seeing what that changes. Whatever your version of adventure is — it’s possible, it’s waiting, and you don’t need to be anyone other than who you already are to go find it.
I’m a storyteller. Every week I write about interesting people and places that inspire possibility — through the She Can Explore newsletter, curated guides, and live conversations. The publication is for women over 50 who are choosing adventure, but the stories come from everywhere and everyone.
I’ve spent 30+ years as an entrepreneur with a focus in sales, marketing, and building communities. What I know after building a community of over 85,000 members is that the best experiences come from authentic human connection, not transactions. That’s the foundation of everything I’m building here.
What I Believe
- That you don’t need fixing — you need space, fresh air, and honest connection to yourself
- That we’re all more powerful than we’ve been taught to believe
- That you have the right to choose again, and again, and again
- That boldness doesn’t always look loud
- That adventure doesn’t have an age limit
- That laughter, nature, and a good pair of boots fix most things
This is dedicated to my dad, who had one simple rule: “Love people.” Every day I do my best to honor that rule in his memory. Some days I do really well at it. Other days I fail miserably.
Fun Facts About Georgee

Family
I have two grown children and a Westie named Mickey. My children still keep me on my toes and are by far my greatest teachers. Mickey thinks he is my protector and my daily walking companion — rain or shine, we’re out there.

Nature
To keep myself sane I spend time outside every day. Usually a 5km walk in my favourite forest by the river. Occasionally an endurance event, but only if I can wear a costume.

Everest
I love nature, especially being in the mountains. Mount Everest is my favourite and I have been obsessed probably from the time I was about 5 years old. One of my favourite vacations was a trek to Everest Base Camp. The Great Himalaya Trail is next on my list.

Reading
I love to read. Mostly non-fiction. I almost always have a book and notebook with me. Events where I have the opportunity to meet the author and get my books signed… awesome!

Coffee & Potato Chips
Coffee and potato chips are my addictions. That Lay’s potato chip commercial that says “No one can eat just one” definitely describes me. Currently I am in recovery for the potato chips (at least at the time I am writing this.)

Podcasts
Podcasts that are long form and interview awesome people are my jam. My favourite host is Rich Roll. A few of my other favourites are Solved by Mark Manson, Cool Conversations, Lex Fridman and Dan Becker Podcast.

Singing & Dancing
I love to sing and dance. I am not very good at either… and I don’t let that stop me. I often make up my own songs to entertain my clients, kids, friends, family… and pretty much anyone who will listen.

Laughter
Laughing is one of my favourite things. Need someone to tell a silly joke to… hit me up. I think I’m funny and so does my mom… my kids disagree.
