A boutique bed and breakfast in the village of Fairmont Hot Springs, British Columbia, with a garden-to-table approach to hospitality.

Run by Amber, Stefano, and Charli — an Italo-Canadian family who fell for the Columbia Valley and settled there — Wilder Lodge offers a personal, home-baked take on the traditional B&B. Amber bakes sourdough bread from a naturally fermented starter and accommodates dietary needs from keto to vegetarian to plant-based.

Of the five guest rooms, three have private ensuite bathrooms and two share a bathroom. Breakfast is included for guests who book directly. The lodge sits close to Fairmont’s mineral hot springs, golf courses, hiking trails, and skiing, with Kootenay National Park nearby. Note: bedrooms are up a flight of stairs, and the property isn’t wheelchair accessible.
